LINC, a nonprofit organization committed to fostering welcoming and inclusive workplaces and communities, announced the addition of two new members to its board of directors: Karianne Gelinas, vice president of regional partnerships and talent strategies at Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) and Sandra Bieber, manager of operations and community development at Discover Lehigh Valley.
The new members of LINC’s Board of Directors comprise a diverse set of senior leaders across multiple industries who are all united in their commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for all those in the Lehigh Valley community.
Karianne’s and Sandra’s wealth of experience and dedication to advancing talent strategies and community development make them invaluable additions to our board of directors,” said LINC President Katelyn Mack. “Karianne’s leadership in regional talent initiatives, coupled with Sandra’s commitment to promoting the value of tourism in Lehigh Valley, align perfectly with LINC’s mission of fostering trusted connections and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in our workplaces and communities. Gelinas leads LVEDC’s regional talent strategies coalition and directs initiatives that fortify Lehigh Valley’s talent pipeline. She is responsible for building and strengthening regional partnerships, including the Education and Talent Supply Council and the coalition driving the Made Possible in Lehigh Valley marketing initiative. An active community member, Gelinas has been on the board of Communities in Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania (CIS of Eastern PA) since 2020.
Bieber joined the Discover Lehigh Valley team in July 2022. In her role, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations and community development through education and engagement around the value of tourism in Lehigh Valley. Before joining Discover Lehigh Valley, Bieber worked at the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Greater Lehigh Valley as the executive director and New Bethany as the director of development and communications. She is currently an adjunct professor at Muhlenberg College, teaching nonprofit marketing and fundraising.
