When professionals relocate for work, they want a seamless transition that makes them feel welcome in their new community. LINC ensures that relocating individuals and families have access to trusted resources that help them make informed decisions about where to live that best reflect their values and circumstances.
Housing is top of mind for all candidates considering a move. LINC works closely with a few select realtors and property managers in the greater Lehigh Valley and throughout northeast Pennsylvania to assist newcomers in assessing the variety of neighborhoods and home options.
Since 2015, one of LINC’s real estate partners has been Jane Schiff, a Lehigh Valley-based top-performing Realtor with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services. She and others on the team provide exceptional home buying and rental services to candidates and newcomers to the area. Howard Hanna is the largest family-owned and operated real estate company in the United States. The company is nationally recognized for its relocation and corporate services division, which specializes in assisting professionals moving for work.
Jane was introduced to LINC by Board Member Oldrich Foucek, III, a Lehigh University alumnus and attorney at Norris McLaughlin in Allentown. Jane met LINC’s Executive Director through Kim Patterson, a former Human Resources leader at PPL and early advisor to LINC.
Since then, realtor partnerships have become a cornerstone of LINC’s community transition services.
Jane has been one of LINC’s trusted Community Partners, providing a critical resource for professionals and families considering a move to the Lehigh Valley through her comprehensive area tours. These private, two-hour sessions take prospective residents on a curated drive through the Lehigh Valley’s diverse cities, towns, and boroughs. From vibrant downtown Allentown to charming communities like Emmaus, Macungie, and Easton, the tours give newcomers a realistic look at housing styles, price points, and neighborhood character.
By touring the many different regions in the Lehigh Valley with Jane, candidates can consider which area might be the best fit should they accept a job offer. Together, LINC consultations and area tours help people visualize their future life in the region, setting the foundation for confident, informed decisions.
Additionally, LINC’s real estate partners have helped dozens of newcomers navigate where to live during their move to the Lehigh Valley for work with companies such as PPL, Lehigh Valley Health Network, Lutron, B. Braun, among others. For these employees, having LINC and realtors working together provides a seamless experience.
Devon Carey Smith, a physician with Lehigh Valley Health Network, reflected on her experience working with Jane saying, “Jane did such an amazing job for us and helping us find our perfect new home in Lehigh Valley,” she says. “We were new to the area and really did not have much knowledge on where to look or what to look for. Along with being extremely knowledgeable, she provided a very personal touch throughout the entire experience in searching for a house. We are very grateful to have had a chance to work with her!”
LINC ensures that all its realtors prioritize developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with their clients. Her commitment to service is evident whether she is acclimating a recent college graduate to the area or hosting a C-suite executive for an area tour.
Ted Nouryan, who started working for PPL in 2022 as Vice President of Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, and HR Operations, reflected on his experience working with Jane, “Jane is top talent. She is a professional realtor with high integrity and an unbelievable understanding of the Lehigh Valley. She listens carefully, and demonstrates customer centricity by showing us options that we are interested in.” Ted adds, “She has such a broad network and knows about so many properties.”
The partnership between realtors and the LINC team creates a comprehensive, supportive environment for individuals and families to feel welcome in a new area. Newcomers to the area can be confident that the relationships and resources that LINC shares are top-notch and highly vetted.
Connecting with LINC to get this type of hands-on, trusted support is easy.
